Living Souls: figures without faces, so that every viewer can find their own.
Born in Moscow in 1983, Palina trained in music and the visual arts, graduated with honors in costume and fashion design and studied art marketing at Central Saint Martins in London. For more than a decade she designed costumes for film, theatre and fashion in Russia, England, the United States and Mexico.
After almost twenty years in Mexico, including eight on the Board of Culture and Arts of Cancún, she now lives and paints in Naples, Florida. Her practice today: painting, ceramics, children's books she writes and illustrates, and teaching. She works in four languages.
